Akrapovic Racing Line Exhaust (Titanium) for Honda CBR 600 RR (05-06)
The Akrapovic Racing and Evolution lines are top-level exhaust systems devel- oped to fit the supersport character of the Honda CBR 600. They are designed for experienced riders who draw power at the top of the range and demand the maximum from their exhaust system, both in terms of quality workmanship and materials and of course performance. The Honda engine receives a major boost from the system, putting out a full 111 HP at 13800 rpm.
It’s not just about peak power—Akrapovič exhaust systems deliver increased performance throughout the entire rpm range. Increased power and torque result in a much smoother ride. All Akrapovič exhaust system measurements are made on our computer-controlled flowbenches.
PERFORMANCE
Measurements of the Akrapovic EVOLUTION system on the HONDA CBR 600 RR:
Power : the system is oriented towards improving performance at the top of the rpm range, as indicated by the fact that the max. power of 111 HP is registered at 13800 rpm. But the system also offers an increase in power from the middle of the range up from 7000 to 10000 rpm.
Torque : : the system’s effect on the torque curve is similar to the power curve. The main increase starts at around 6000 rpm and continues right into the overrev range.

CONFIGURATION
The Akrapovic RACING and EVOLUTION systems for the Honda CBR 600 RR are both configured 4-2-1, while the systems differ in their selection of tubing materials. The RACING uses stainless steel, the EVOLUTION titanium. The header tubes are conical section, the collector is cylindrical, and the Y link pipe is again conical. Due to improved performance characteristics the header tubes have built-in interference crossover tubes. The system also has built-in fittings for attaching a lambda sensor. The individual system components (header tubes, collector, link pipe and muffler) are attached to each other with sleeve joints held together with silicon-shielded tensioning springs. The oval section muffler is installed lying flat underneath the seat, and the outer sleeve is available in either carbon-fiber or titanium. The muffler’s interior and the inlet and outlet caps are made entirely of titanium. The muffler is attached to the frame using Akrapovic carbon-fiber clamps.
